Since 2018, the Arts Council of Mongolia (ACM) has been implementing the short film project “We Can – We Are Talented” in partnership with the Australian Embassy, with the aim of amplifying the voices and participation of people with diverse developmental needs in today’s society. Within the framework of the project, a short film script competition will be announced in October 2025. In November, ACM will organize the training ‘Inclusive Filmmaking: Promoting Inclusion Through Film’ for filmmakers and directors, encouraging them to create films that foster positive public understanding of people with developmental differences, support social inclusion, and ensure their meaningful participation. Following the training, selected scripts and film teams will be chosen, and in partnership with collaborating organizations in 2025, capacity-building sessions will be held to prepare for production. Filming will begin thereafter, with post-production scheduled to continue until March 2026. The completed film is planned to be premiered in April 2026.
