ACM has established the Uv-Erdene intangible cultural heritage theater for bearers at National Heritage Center of Mongolia’s new building to protect and preserve intangible cultural heritage, to educate and pass on to future generations the knowledge, skills and abilities of the elder bearers. The 161 square meter theater was furnished with light and sound equipment, stage construction, audience seats, and the interior of the building was finished in three months and handed over to the National Center of Cultural Heritage with the aid of Rio Tinto Mongolia. In the future, the circular theater with Mongolian ger interior design will regularly organize traditional art performances, document the talents of the heritage bearers with videos, teach and pass on the knowledge, methods and talents of the older heritage bearers to future generations, and organize apprenticeships on a regular basis in order to preserve the intangible cultural heritage.
